This tool is very useful during the validation phase of the scene as it allows rapid identification of potential source for any loss of performance. This panel allows you to enable or disable functions in the NOVA engine rendering core.
The upper part (Channels) can disengage channels texturing. The lower part (Options) allows for disconnecting the entire rendering pipeline (including shadows or mirrors). We advise you, if you have concerns of performance to begin by unchecking one by one the channels and pipelines to diagnose where stands the loss of Fps. The Debug Tool tab also provides debugging features of the scene. Final rendering can disconnect all of a sudden the rendering operation of the graphics card. This is useful if you want to diagnose that the graphics card or processor, is the worst performer on the stage. If the frames back sharply by unchecking this box, you are limited by the graphics card (try to reduce the resolution, the number of materials Per Pixel size or texture). If no improvement occurs is that you are limited by the processor (try to reduce the number of objects in the scene, to improve collision or improve physical simulation).
The geometries and materials impostors can drastically simplify their respective purpose. When, while activating the impostors materials, you notice a marked increase in performance, it is the sign that your materials use too much resources and may require optimization.
